That may be down to the fact that a configuration was written somewhere in the system that wasnt changed/removed when I removed the networking stuff. Ive tried it with both ethernet disabled and the wireless card removed, but still no joy. I have to say when I first saw 'bind()' I immediately thought networking or related. I've had an initial glance at the links but nothing is standing out so far. Thanks for the reply there, I wasn't sure if anyone would have any ideas on this. I did a Google search on this "Snow Leopord + bind(): Cant allocate requested address" and got all sorts of topics - some related to IPv6 setings. If you install this make sure you fix permissions - SYSTEM Utilities in MultiBeast w all options Tonymac users have used this util on there SL installs - as tony had a pole that was asked to us users. I found this tread about TRIM Support Enabler 1.1. On thing is that I would also suggest that you try to use an additional Switch at startup and that would be the disable KextCache or -fĪs this uses cached files w the kexts for faster loading and I have seen it load older kexts instead of the newer / required kext. I am not supprised that more members who have SSD's w OSX SL - are not having issues -Īpple natively supported the trim feature in OSX 10.6.7 for MBP w Apple Branded SSD's - so use using non Apple SSD's may have issues.
